Field Marketing Manager DACH (m/f/d)

Exasol is looking for a talented Field Marketing Manager (m/f/d) to join the growing DACH operations, who will be responsible for planning, executing and measuring marketing programs, directly and through the partner eco-system.

In this exciting opportunity your primary objective will be to generate new business and to promote our market-proven, innovative and best-in-class analytical database technology within the Enterprise space. Your creative marketing plan will consist of multi-touch and multi-channel programs, which are buyer-centric (Business Lines, Functional IT, Partner), and which will include structured inbound and outbound activities.

You will act as an independently minded business partner to the DACH team, formulating innovative and ambitious marketing plans whose success will be measured by their contribution to the business, with a strong focus on direct marketing and smart partner activities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive demand to acquire new customers, with a strong emphasis on key verticals (Retail & eCommerce, Healthcare and Financial Services)
  • Drive demand through an account-based marketing strategy
  • Leverage corporate tools to animate the business lines, functional IT and partner communities
  • Generate awareness and thought leadership for Exasol by partnering with global stakeholders on Digital and Social programs
  • Drive incremental growth by executing on joint marketing plans with our key partners and technology alliances       

The role has 2 focus areas:

1. End to end lead generation
  • Understand and apply Exasol’s lead-gen model, including digital marketing, lead follow-up with the sales teams (inside sales and field sales in DACH), develop a clear set of metrics to measure and influence the lead transformation process at each stage of the funnel
  • Position Exasol’s offering by executing solution-led, persona-based, multi-channel campaigns
  • Increase existing account penetration
  • Devise a best-practice marketing mix with the Marketing Lead and the extended global team
  • Design, plan and execute DACH-based industry and Exasol-owned events
  • Forecast, measure, analyse and report on impact of programs

2. Partner Marketing
  • Develop 6-month plans with key partners, agree strategy and channel coverage models with DACH based channel leads
  • Build and execute 6-month GTM plans with our key focus partners
  • Drive incremental pipeline and revenue from these partners
  • Increase usage of our partner marketing tools: in-the-box demand gen
  • Support the execution of our annual flagship event Xperience in Berlin
  • Measure the ROI of our partner programs by encouraging partners to use our deal registration program

Your profile:

  • The successful candidate we are looking for will be a consummate marketing professional with experience working within the IT industry, preferably within data infrastructure or BI/Analytics
  • You will be results-driven, focused, passionate and have a proven track record of ROI
  • You will have experience executing online/digital campaigns as well as experience working with the channel
  • You will also be responsible for planning, budget management and tracking of ROI (contribution to pipeline)
  • You will communicate regularly on progress against plan to key stakeholders

Further requirements:
  • Excellent business acumen & willingness to learn new methods and ways of working
  • Ability to align closely and collaborate intelligently with the sales organization
  • Experience in digital and social media programs
  • Excellent partner relationship management skills and proven track record of delivering leads through partners
  • Proven track record of driving marketing metrics (ROI, % contribution to the business, etc.)
  • Impressive organizational and influencing skills
  • Solid experience working with cross-functional teams and a very strong team player
  • Extremely good communication skills
