Customer Success Manager / Technical Account Manager (m/f/d)

We are looking for ambitioned Customer Success Managers with a strong focus on nurturing a strong relationship with our key customers to ensure, that we understand their current and future technology challenges and that they leverage the full potential of our database. Working in an interdisciplinary team collaborating across Sales, Presales, Product Management and our Solution Partners, you take care of supporting the clients.

Our ideal candidates are technological experts that turn into technical “buddies” and advisors for our users, regarding architecture and processes. The job includes certain consultative workshops, project management tasks, but no long-lasting development projects that will rather be done by our consulting partners.

Your tasks are:

  • Creating and nurturing a close, valuable relationship with our key customers.
  • Assuring that we understand the technical architecture, requirements and vision of our customers and transfering that knowledge to our product roadmap, services and internal processes.
  • Increasing the level of awareness, technical know-how and general happiness of using the Exasol technology.
  • Holding architectural discussions, performance workshops or hands-on training sessions.
  • Working closely together with our sales account managers to identify additional use-cases across the customer’s organizations.

Who are you?

  • You are a person who likes to network and create strong, trustworthy relationships.
  • You are proficient in SQL / data warehousing and at least in one additional programming or script language.
  • You have a great understanding of modern data eco systems - from data integration, ETL all the way to BI.
  • You love to dive into challenges and develop excellent long-term solutions.
  • Profound skills in project management and experiences in giving presentations in front of both technical experts and business decision makers.
  • You are a positive, ambitious person who is willing to take over responsibility and go the extra mile to make our users successful.
  • You are a German native speaker with excellent English skills.
Those skills would be a plus
  • You have proficient experience in customer success / post-sales, or a strong BI / DWH consulting background.
  • Knowledge of and experience with MPP databases (e.g. Teradata, Vertica, Oracle, DB2, Netezza, Greenplum, Redshift, Snowflake).
  • Programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, Bash, R.
  • Experience with BI Tools (e.g. Microstrategy, Tableau, Business Objects, Cognos).
  • Experience with ETL Tools (e.g. Talend, Informatica, Microsoft SSIS, IBM Data Stage).
  • Experience in Big Data landscapes such as Hadoop, Spark or Kafka.
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
